How sad!
Uber passenger was kidnapped and raped in south africa.She order for a ride,but got into a wrong taxi,thinking it was the right car.When she got in,she was tied up.They went straight to an atm stand,forced her to withdraw, then taken,only to be raped later.
Uber spokesperson by name samantha allenberg said the company was with the victims family,to express their condolences and to support them.
"This is a despicable crime,and first and foremost, our thoughts are with the victim and her family.We are in an open dialogue with thr family and have offered our full support.We stand ready to assist law enforcement in anyway we can to bring this crime to justice."
A case of rape and kidnapped have been opened,that's all we know,hoping they will be brought to justice.
However,a word of caution was given to uber passengers.They adviced through a facebook post,that they should look out carefully,the plate number to ensure it matches the one sent to them.
